This "Industry Standard" phrase is pro-capitalistic BS created by the capitalists! I get so tired of hearing that phrase from snotty types who call themselves "professionals" who like to knock down other people who don't use garbage like Adobe products. Heck! Even Hollywood and the music industry can't even make a good product while using these "Industry Standard" equipment, and then they price gouge the heck out of the customers.

Hello - I use Ableton Live - I nned to transfer my work to Loopy pro running on ipad 10 gen. Up to this point i am relying on emailing files to myself from my windows pc to my ipad. Will the iconnectity 4c allow m e to transfer files directly from PC to ipad without the long workaround.? I am using windows on PC to running ableton 12 standard

Unfortunately, in doing so it turns off the automation I've painstakingly set up past that 5 second section. In this track there are 50 channels! Anyway to renable automation for all 50 with out doing so one by one (track by track)?

What if you just want to store your set in the cloud in order to save space on your hard drive. Do you have to collect all and save then?

I have Live 11, when I tried to do step 1 where you dragged "Master" over to see your time sig. and tempo, mine was named "Main" and there was not time sig. or tempo there... Any help there? thank you!

I have a 12. Very good piece of gear. It lacks 5-DIN MIDI, XLRs, & an internal power supply. These upgrades alone make the newer unit worth the price when one is ready to spend.

If you're looking at the Alesis gear bump up to the Strike Multipad. Much more robust than the basic Multipad. It's a slight step down in durability from SPDX pro but still very solid. I use the top three pads for start next stop then trigger internal samples off the other 6 pads. Internal sounds are better IMO than SPDX and a few hundred less.

hey! i'm still facing issues: i recorded something in ableton live 12 that i'm having trouble bringing into ableton live 11. any tips?

We've been using Ableset in my band for probably 6 years, our Ableton master set has about 60 songs in it so creating a new setlist was a big task before Ableset. I can also control ableset by using a bluetooth pageturner on my ipad remotely.

Long shot seen as this video is pretty old but I'm having a problem I can't find an answer for. I recorded automation via a vst effects plugin which recorded and played fine in arrangement. Saved song but when reopening it will sometimes play the automation then not and I haven't changed anything, driving me nuts! Any quick words would be appreciated 😊

So we should use the A key to add locators wherever there is a marker...every time we imports a song into. a Live set? You mentioned an automatic way too?

With the 4 expression ports on the back - could I, for instance, plug in 4 expression pedals and assign each on to a parameter on an Ableton Live Plugin? So eg one controls dry/wet on a delay, one controls overall volume, one controls frequency of a HP filter, and one controls reverb time? Thanks!

Can anyone confirm - when dragging an individual song ALS into a set project in Live 12, it seems to me that the output routing channels and send levels from the tracks of the incoming ALS are not honored, and everything gets rerouted to Main and send levels are zero, requiring all those to be corrected again after importing.

When I do redundancy, I usually have Mac 1 autotune, totally separate from Mac 2 and Mac 3 synced for the stems. You can have two Macs that share the UAD INTERFACE autotune and at the same time sync and play stems with playAUDIO12. WHAT WOULD THE MONITORING OF autotune and stem monitoring be like? Is it used like this or is it recommended everything separately, that is, autotune separately mac 1 mac 2 and stems mac 3 mac 4 synchronized

Some comments about the Behringer DI800, to clear up some inaccuracies. 1. Although it is now version 2, it is not better than v1 and component-wise is identical in every sense to the first version. It was only called version 2 to take into account some legal changes that required updates to documentation. 2. It can use phantom power OR mains power, depending on your needs. 3. That is not a 20dB pad, it is a super useful 20dB BOOST. 4. That is not a -10dB pad, it is a -30dB pad. 5, The LINK can be used as both an input AND an unbalanced output of a copy of the input signal. Great if you want a copy to go to an amp for monitoring.

it is not working for my, not a single plugin is being recognized, uninstalled ableton completely (roaming, programdata, AppData, etc..) I keep trying, with a bunch of plugins and it does not recognize any. the plugin scan logs don't show any useful info. any ideas? windows 11, ableton 11.3

Disabling the loop and (I presume you do) clicking on a locator to jump is nowhere near as fast and elegant as firing off a scene. But wait, there's MUCH more. I key map my scenes and it's ridiculously elegant and fast. But wait, there's even more. I have say typically 24 scenes - one for every lowercase letter in the alphabet (I reserve lower case x to start the metronome, lowercase z for the stop button.) Dude, that's 24 scenes I can fire off with split second-timing particularly if you set quantization to 1/16th or 1/32. You do NOT need to use follow actions which I've never really got into. Repeat DO NOT. My method of 24 scenes fired by letters obviates the need for follow actions and allows me to record elegantly into arrangement view. Then muck about in arrangement view and then use Ableton's second greatest feature, "consolidate time to new scene." This gives me the linear approach you so love as well as unparalleled control over playbac from session view. But wait there's still more. Using 24 scenes (or many more, you could use uppercase letters and there's 48 tracks, then numbers, special characters, etc., via key map). No matter how safe you believe arrangement view to be there will come a time that you will make a mistake and damage your set. True, you could use one of Live's many backups. But say you wiped out bars 12-24 say, all I have to do his hit "lower case c" at the right point in the damaged arrangment (by putting a locator at bar 12 and the a loop brace covering bars 12-24) and voila, it's recorded with perfect timing, back in the arrangement view. And yes I've created a template, all set up, just as you have but with my method. Not that there's anything wrong with yours. The advantage of mine is I have both complete control of BOTH arrangement view, and session view, simultaneously. By the way, the most powerful feature in Live - maybe you've done a video on it, maybe not, IS the arrangement view and until it was copied by other daws, the most powerful feature in all of audio software. If you have a good ear and have recorded to a click, to get incredible arrangements, you just scrub with the mouse in arrangement over 'juicy' sounding parts, or create a juicy section with the loop brace and then scrub (you can turn quantization off altogether if you like for this task) and you're sure to locate cinematic, amazing contructions.
